Dear Friends,
I am taking the liberty of sharing with you one of my favorite chapters from Positive Living A Through Z; it is the chapter on Kindness and can be found on: https://www.lorakosten.com/
We have experienced a plethora of very serious challenges over the past year and may continue to do so. These challenges have brought a greater awareness for health and safety. Being at home has allowed time for self-reflection and a shift in values. How we adapt is key to our survival; so, let’s bloom where we are planted.
What positive changes have you made because of this Pandemic? You can’t put a price on spending time with family and becoming more comfortable in your own skin. Have you reset your priorities and learned how best to continue in this time of uncertainty?
There is still a lot of healing that must take place, but through kindness and love, we can move together, stronger than before. And don’t forget to set goals to help you keep going forward.
I hope you enjoy the inspirational Facebook posts for April.
Love and blessings,
Lora
An ultimate goal of positive living is to be at peace with yourself and your environment, and through kindness, this can be accomplished. Kindness can help build a better world because you build a better world by building a better self. You can begin acts of kindness by starting with yourself. When your inner critic continuously tells you that you should have done something differently, or if it targets your every perceived flaw, cancel those negative thoughts and remember to see yourself as you wish to be, happy, healthful, and confident.
Show kindness to yourself and to others by not interfering in their business unless you are asked to do so. Respect others’ ways of doing things and the fact that everyone is unique. Believe in yourself and know that you can only change you. Live in the present and let your actions be for the good of all. Seek wisdom and courage and don’t waste time worrying about what you should and should not do. If your motivation is honorable, from the heart, and for the betterment of mankind, just do it. Respect yourself, respect others, and take responsibility for your actions.
You can begin to show kindness by starting each day with a thankful heart, by always doing your very best, and greeting everyone you meet with a smile. Spend some time alone, think positive thoughts, and if you make a mistake, take actions to rectify it. Simplify your life, plant a flower, hold a door, pet a cat, breath fresh air, release a grudge, and protect the earth. Whatever you choose, acts of kindness are like seeds; they will germinate and spread about, helping to bring positive gifts to all whose path they cross.
Simplify your life, plant a flower, hold a door,
pet a cat, breath fresh air, release a grudge,
and protect the earth.
