Believing in yourself includes self-love, self-care, value, and respect. Make time and do things that bring you pleasure.  Learn when to say “yes” and how to say “no” to help you set boundaries.  Self-love and care are not selfish; they help protect your own well-being and happiness.
Themes from chapters of Positive Living A Though Z that are addressed this month in Facebook posts include Chapters O: It’s OK: Learn From It and Move On, and P: Peace of Mind; That Necessary Ingredient for Positive Living. What better way to believe in yourself than forgiving your mistakes from the past and using lessons from them for personal growth?
Attaining Peace of Mind is a goal of positive living. This can be done by keeping your life simple, appreciating everyday blessings, and keeping thoughts of peace and harmony when things go awry. Be sure to limit your exposure to the volume of information from others and the media and decide how best to use it.
Believe and learn to recognize that what happens is for a reason. Go with the flow and by take care of yourself so that you’ll be able to inspire and help others attain a positive lifestyle.
Remember, Positive Living is not a one-time strategy or exercise to try occasionally. If you address the monthly themes and weekday posts on Facebook that speak to you, through daily practice, they will become automatic and a part of your repertoire of positive behavioral choices. You’ll begin to reprogram your thoughts and allow selfless actions to improve you as a person; thus, improving the world.
Take small steps, make some changes, celebrate your success; then repeat. This ongoing process is simple yet profound. The best time to start is today!
