Blooming for Personal Growth is the theme for this month’s Positive Living posts. The full moon on May 16th is called the Flower Moon and it represents all that is lush and blossoming. The days grow longer, and the warmer temperatures give a sense of new freedom.
Try and use this month to reflect on your circumstances. Flowers need a healthy environment with water and lots of good nutrients in their soil. How are you nurturing yourself to promote a healthy environment so that when ready you will blossom with your newfound Positive Living strategies? Your environment includes your immediate surroundings such as your home, people in your life, foods that you eat and how you spend your leisure time. Think of how these choices align with the life you want to lead and what changes you should make.
Just because others are doing things in a certain way doesn’t mean that you must be like them. Discover your own uniqueness and act on it. Decide what is best for you and follow your intuition. Don’t live your life through their expectations, find your true desires and follow your heart.
As you bloom with the spring flowers are your positive thoughts helping you feel more confident? Do you focus and foster things that you can do rather than thinking about what you can’t do? Have you released hurt feelings and grudges? What acts of kindness have you done for yourself that are now a part of your daily repertoire, such as taking 10 minutes to meditate, unplugging for 30 minutes, or going out in nature for a short walk.
Allow your growth to take its course. Flowers bloom at different times and when they are ready. You can learn from nature that patience is key. Embrace the steps of the journey because it is the process that will bring you to the destination.
And when you feel that nothing is going right, remember that desiccated flowers can bloom again with proper love and care. Are you giving yourself the tender love and care so necessary during times of trouble? Just as flowers come back and blossom, you too can do the same.
Take time this month to bloom from the heart.
