Happy December! The final month of 2021 begins today. This year has forced challenges and changes to lifestyles based mostly on circumstances relating to the Pandemic, and you’ve made it through!
As the holidays approach in the coming weeks, many will think of gifts to purchase for loved ones. December’s theme for Positive Living is about gifts that don’t come in wrapped packages, such as the gift of time, the gift of friendship, the gift of health and the gift of family. As parents you can model the gifts of respect and kindness through your actions. Â
Be mindful of instances of where you can help to bring up others, be generous in offering genuine praise and encouragement and sincerely listen with understanding and empathy as these are all gifts we can freely give to others.Â
While the holidays may trigger a need in us to purchase gifts, let’s not forget the many blessings we already have to share. -Positive Living A Through Z, 11/30/2020
The end of the year is also a time to reflect on what went well and areas in your life that you want to improve. Once you figure out what you want to improve, goals for 2022 can be put in place to help you do that. 2022 blogs for Positive Living will include tools to use so that you can keep pushing towards living the life that you desire.
For this month, take the time to reflect on the following and consider writing your responses in a journal that you can use throughout 2022:
As you know, I have been trained through the Holistic Alternative Psychology Home Study Course “Mind Inspired New Dynamics System” (M.l.N.D.S). This course was developed and
directed by Dr. Dolores Seymour and derived from the “original” Holistic Alternative Psychology Course; copyright 1998 – 2010 by the American Institute of Holistic Health and Wellness (AIHHW).
Dr. Seymour served as my holistic counselor for about 30 years, and I am proud to say that I am carrying out her philosophy to help enlighten others. During 2021, I created this multimedia experience based on my work A Handbook for Positive Living A through Z. Weekday posts along with monthly blogs have been the framework to help promote awareness of steps and strategies to use daily for Positive Living.
Some exciting changes in 2022 will include blogs and posts that will do more than inspire; they will encourage you to be action orientated. While the holidays may trigger a need in us to purchase gifts, let’s not forget the many blessings we already have to share. I look forward to our Positive Living journey in 2022.
Give from the heart,
Lora
