Many people fear change, but change is was keeps us going and growing. It is important to remember that if you can’t change your circumstances, you can change how to respond to them. You are in control.
Being in control also makes you the captain of your holistic well-being, that of body, mind, and spirit. And it is never too soon to address changes in any of these areas. It is best to begin now because a day becomes a week, and a week becomes a month. Then the months pass, and another year is gone and you may still be pondering thoughts about how you can be happier, heathier, and more peaceful. Action is needed and Positive Living encourages you to choose strategies that will help improve your life.
The spring season is characterized by change; flowers bloom, animals awaken from hibernation, days get longer in the Northern Hemisphere and the weather gets warmer. Nature is reborn and spring is such a perfect time to begin your Positive Living journey.
What will you change to be the best you in 2022?
Will you let go of negativity? Consider canceling negative thoughts. Forgiving yourself and others.
Will you see mistakes as stepping- stones for growth? You could reflect on lessons from these so-called mistakes and take what you’ve learned to help make you stronger.
Will you believe in yourself? Plan to cancel self-doubts and have the confidence to move forward. Be honorable and act from the heart.
Will you focus on your health and wellness? Begin or add 10 minutes of exercise three times per week. Stay hydrated. Include another fresh fruit or veggie each day. Think positive thoughts. Believe in yourself.
Will you ask questions? Clarify information to reduce stress. Make decisions based on facts rather than hearsay.
Will you make positive statements for 5 minutes at a time, five times per day? Such as: “I am strong.” “I am in control.” “I feel great! The mind believes what we feed it so feed it love, understanding and confidence.
Will you do what is best for you? Try by making self-love and care a priority.
Will you find a balance in your life? Consider any of the following: Declutter. Pay off bills. Unplug. Walk outdoors. Take time for uninterrupted meals and make eating revered. Create a Zen space in your home by adding plants, candles, inspirational wall hangings, reading materials or calming music.
To begin or continue your wellness journey, create a form for your use. List and describe how you will add three Positive Living strategies for you in Spring 2022.
Strategy: Take uninterrupted time for myself during lunch.
Action Steps: I will leave my office and find a quiet space outdoors or in another room to have at least a 10–20-minute uninterrupted lunch. I will unplug from social media and not bring work with me. I may enjoy uplifting music, reading inspirational materials or just the tranquility of the experience. My goal is to start doing this each workday and I will record my experiences.
